- Furrion states that there really is no minimum for things that are mounted on the same wall. You wouldn't want the fireplace blowing directly on anything combustible. The fireplace has a proximity sensor that will shut it down if an object is placed within 6 inches in front of the fireplace, it'll shut down until the object is removed and the power switch is cycled.

You can also use the timer to run the fireplace up to 5 hours if you want it to run a majority of the night and then kick off.
